Beauty Look of the Day

Ain’t nothing like a San Diego sunset

Its not a secret that I attend a lot of weddings but I rarely get to go to American weddings. They so different from Somali weddings; much more simple. Somali weddings are so lavish, everyone has such expensive clothes. It was kind of nice that the dress code was all black; black looks good on everyone! While black was the dress code, I wanted to add some texture and funky sleeves to show my personality.

I rarely like to deviate my natural hair from black. I try to limit the amount of damage  and I definitely do not want to lose my curls. The day prior to the wedding, I had decided that I would try something outside my comfort zone. I have always wanted to do a reddish color but given the color of my skin, I went with golden tones. The hair dresser lifted the hair and I think it came out pretty well.

Given that I always keep my hair dark, matching my eyebrows to my hair gave me an opportunity to learn some new tricks and get a little creative. I was able to match my eyebrows to my hair color with eye shadow. I used Huda beauty rose palette and mixed some colors to make this auburn/ reddish color. It ended up matching really well!
