Rain and coffee

Seattle is known for a few things; coffee and rain. I experienced both of these. On an impromptu birthday trip for my sister, we decided to visit Seattle. To my surprise, it was actually pretty fun. We got to see lots of different places. Seattle has a lot of waterfalls. While I was able to capture lots of beautiful pictures, these too were lost with my phone. I only have the few my sister had on her phone. We initially started at Freeway Park, with its geometric shapes and beautiful waterfalls, the views were just amazing. The waterfalls were surround by a park where people came to hang out, eat and enjoy the scenery.

Because our time was limited, we had to be very picky on where we were going to go, so it was an obvious choice to go to Gum Wall. It is exactly what it sounds like; a wall where people put their chewed up gum. This wall is conveniently located next to Pike Place Market. Cute market with lots of random fun things.

Next day, while it rained, we made our way to the Space Needle and the Museum of Pop Culture. We didn’t get to ride the needle and see the amazing views from the top. There was an overcast and they told us it basically wasn’t worth it. So we headed to the Museum that has this cool metal colorful architecture. Its fun with lots of texture.

Before we left, we had to go to a Starbucks. Many choose to go to the original one but I figured the Starbuck Roastery would be much cooler and it was! Everything in there is cooper and you can sample different coffees from around the world. Lots of souvenirs and pastries. If you love coffee, must go see!

Overall, I had much more fun than I expected.

On to the next adventure!
